1. U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Very informative and comprehensive site. Allows you to do a search on a wide range of health issues. Linked to state health departments, non-governmental sources, various health related agencies, national health libraries and regional health libraries. It is also linked to numerous on-line health news sites and a variety of medical dictionaries.

2. Environmental Estrogens Pages

Maintained by the Center for Bioenvironmental Research at Tulane and Xavier Universities. Great site for anyone who wants to learn about environmental estrogens, an important issue for women's health. Excellent overview of the issue and answers numerous questions. Also provides a comprehensive bibliography of articles and papers on environmental estrogens that have appeared in various newspapers, magazines and journals. Linked to many other sites as well.

3. Rachel's Environment and Health Weekly

A key site for anyone looking for information on environment and health. The information is excellent and all the articles are written by experts. The list of sources at the end of each article is very helpful. Not linked to any other sites.

4. University of Michigan, School of Public Health

Comprehensive site in terms of information links and data. Great for health statistics in the US, other industrialized countries and developing countries. Linked to numerous on-line journals and publications, health related listservers, health services and administration. Some of the search categories are toxicology, environmental health, occupational health, biostatistics and epidemiology.

5. Global Health Network

Excellent for general women's health resources, aging, cancer, heart disease, infectious disease, population and reproductive health. Linked to electronic journals and newsletters and even to a Spanish on-line resource for women's health. Also linked to the USA Today index of stories on women's health. Available in Japanese.
