The Migration Information Source provides authoritative data from numerous global organizations and governments and global analysis of international migration and refugee trends. The Source offers useful tools, vital data, and essential facts on the movement of people worldwide. High Frontier received a special award from the US Department of Commerce for the custom data-mining application built to help present Census Bureau data. The Source has won numerous awards, including a "Best of Reference" in 2004 from the New York Public Library.


Seafood Choices Alliance (SCA)
Brings ocean conservation to the table by providing fishermen, chefs and other purveyors with information they need to make sound choices about seafood in order to provide best options to their customers. By working collaboratively with its partners, SCA connects professionals from the seafood and conservation communities. SCA has been featured in many publications, from Gourmet magazine to the New York Times to numerous local newspapers.


Gotham Gazette
Gotham Gazette is a web site about the greatest city in the world, New York City. It has received local accolades and national recognition for the quality of its journalism and its usefulness as a web site, including a "Best of Reference" award from the New York Public Library. Published by Citizens Union, the good-government group that dates back to 1897, it functions as four publications -- a daily digest of news about NYC; a news operation in itself; a policy magazine; and a reference tool for students and serious researchers.


The J.M. Kaplan Fund
The J. M. Kaplan Fund was established with proceeds from the sale of the Welch Grape Juice Company -- wholly owned by Mr. J. M. Kaplan -- in 1945. Historically, the fund won recognition for major commitments to New York City (the New School, Carnegie Hall) and the movement for union democracy. Currently the fund operates three grant programs (Environment; Historic preservation; Human migrations) operating in three geographic areas (New York City; North America; Worldwide).


SeaWeb
SeaWeb raises awareness and inspires action to protect the ocean and the life within it, as the ocean plays a critical role in our everyday life and in the future of our planet. SeaWeb.org has won many awards, including a Point Top 5% Award and Top 5% of All Time Award.


Political Sites
Freedom's Answer
Freedom's Answer is a non-partisan, non-profit voter turnout campaign that seeks to turn today's students into tomorrow's voters. Over 2500 high schools and more than a million students participated in the 2002 elections. Founded by Mike McCurry and Doug Bailey, sponsors include the Democratic National Committee, the Republican National Committee, AOL Time Warner, Yahoo!, and the US Department of Education.


Youth-e-vote
More than 1.3 million American students from across the country participated in Youth-e-vote's first national online mock election and learned valuable civics, campaign and political lessons through this award-winning site. Youth-e-Vote.net was awarded two "Pollie" awards from the American Association of Political Consultants, and was featured on CNN. Youth-e-vote is now a part of Freedom's Answer.


John Walsh for DA
Built for the leading candidate for Denver District Attorney, this new campaign site utilizes the latest online political tools, including online contributions, action alerts, and blogs.


Senator John Warner
The Senator's campaign web site. Heavily visited during Warner's successful bid for re-election, it was named a "Top 25 Campaign Web Site" by Capitol Hill Online, and a "Top 5% of the Web" by Point Survey. (Page no longer live)

Lamar Alexander led this national, non-partisan political action committee that advocated government policies to give parents more political power. (Page no longer live)
